Outperforming by well over 13%

Grainstores with their high energy usage biased towards the summer months and large shallow pitched roof areas, are ideal candidates for Solar PV arrays.

When a large Estate based near Salisbury approached T H White’s Handling and Storage division for a new Grainstore at one of their sites, our engineers suggested incorporating a PV System. The clients loved this idea and, with a few minor modifications to the building’s design, it was optimised for a 50kWp Solar PV system.

The Solar PV system, which is remotely monitored daily by T H White Energy from our offices in Devizes, Wiltshire via a datalogger connected to a GSM modem, is currently outperforming its predicted performance (SAP 2009) by well over 13%!

As well as the grain handling equipment installed by T H White Handling and Storage and the solar PV system installed by T H White Energy, the building also features a security system from T H White’s Security and Fire division.
