We’ve been helping farmers and other commercial enterprises with their plant, machinery and infrastructure for 185 years and since 2010 we have offered the same quality and reliability to help clients earn new income streams, save energy and fuel costs and do their bit for the environment with our range of solar and biomass systems.

Our energy team prides itself on its passion and experience in selecting, designing and installing renewable technology and as a unit has over 70 years of combined experience in the field. We have a multi-skilled in-house team, capable of delivering everything from plumbing a boiler, to fixing roof panels, or piling rammed profiles for ground mounted solar. Our ethos is all about in-house as much as we can, to ensure we maintain the quality and look after our growing family of customers. Our services range from surveying, design and buying through to installation and then supported by a comprehensive range of maintenance packages to give you peace of mind for the long term.”

Meet the team

The T H WHITE Energy team includes over 70 years of combined experience in renewable technology.

Our team has been built around a solid core of experienced field engineers and originally developed out of our grain storage business. Since then the team has grown in terms of skill sets, and range of experience with individuals bringing high quality experience in building and managing renewable energy businesses, senior commercial and construction roles in utilities businesses and major UK solar developers. The team is also adding new fresh talent both in the field in our design and project management teams and has plans to bring on that new generation to look after our clients for the decades to come.

In-House skills
Unusually for a commercial renewable energy contractor, T H WHITE focuses heavily on utilising in-house resources to deliver and care for clients system. The range of skills we cover in-house includes electrical, heating and plumbing, design and drawing services, roofing, general building, piling, project management, carpentry, civils, CDMC and solid commercial skills to help you get projects off the ground and with funding if you need it.

Depth of knowledge
Our technical knowledge of renewable stems from the installation of thousands of projects and hundreds of Megawatts across biomass, heat pumps, heat recovery, VRF and heating cooling systems, solar thermal, small and large scale photovoltaic solar (PV), small and large scale wind, Anaerobic digestion and LED.

These technologies have been project managed and installed in every kind of building from simple domestic properties to barns, grainstores, factories, National Trust properties, school and colleges, hotels, swimming pools and leisure facilities you name it.


T H WHITE group is 185 years old, established in 1832 and was originally an ironmongers in Devizes. We are still based in Devizes 185 years on, and have grown carefully and organically in line with our customers changing needs over the years into a stable and diversified group of companies.

The groups comprises of 10 divisions across the Group of companies with deep roots in agricultural business through our grain store and dairy construction divisions and long history for excellence in the agricultural
machinery sector.

Outside agricultural sectors T H WHITE has developed market leading presence in the lorry mounted cranes sector, the South West fire and security sector, and the groundcare and construction machinery sectors. T H WHITE has been helping customers get the best from land, machinery and buildings for generations and developed a level of skill and care which customers will recognise across any of our divisions.  We carry on that legacy of being there when customers need us whatever we do.

This strength from diversity and long track record brings huge benefits to the energy market whose products and inherent benefits support customers for 20 years and more. In the energy market it is hard to find knowledge in such depth and it means you can rely on our intimate knowledge of a vast array of building fabric types and building services and how to integrate renewable technology into them.
